Engineering Change Order (ECO) is a standard process object in Z PLM and is similar to Engineering Change Request. However, the process workflow usually includes Release Data activity as shown below.
In addition, the ECO process may also include systems integration activities such as creating and updating materials and bill of materials/routings in SAP.
Creating an ECO
Creating an ECO is similar to how ECR is created and can be done from the New Process screen as shown below.
ECO specific information can be entered on in the ECO form as shown below.
